This took tooo much time (like 10 or 12 hours by strip), I´m concerned about the way I do my stuff and the time it took.. well, obviously I need to learn more..

But hey, whatever it is.. I like how this looks, and the sense it gets when I put them together, heheh..

I made this a cup of weeks ago for the stand of my digital animation school (they invited me, and I´m happy for it!) at the BOOMcon!
I totally loved the BOOMcon! it was a historic event in our country and I´m totally grateful for those people behind it!

And Mrs Yaya Han, the awesome and sexy cosplayer was there, so I decided to draw her and she was so kind that she autographed it for me! ^u^

This is a promo for a summer christian camp some friend of mine (Movimiento Ecumenico Juventud Nueva) are doin this year, this is like my Christmas/Happy new year gift for them. The line and plain color were done in Sai paint tool, the rest in photoshop, the theme was evidently inspired by latinamerican natives

A Projected Secretary

This was, originally, a commission for the ANSE (Asociación Nacional de Secretarias Ejecutivas) in english: National Association of Executive Secretaries..

It was an honor for me,, and I also had a lot of fun!

Mama’s garden

My mom loves her garden, the ornamental plants specially are like a relaxing therapy for her.. And I had to do a “realistic” vegetation render (my first try doing realistic things, actually), so I decided to recreate a detail of the garden.
It took me a lot of time, I almost didn´t make it, but here it is! ^^

Now, the process:

As I said, I took the reference from the backyard of my house:

The geometry of this image, it´s all polys, the wall, the earth, the daisy and the plants of the front were made out from polys, and the rest of the plants were paint fx, fixed and converted to polys so I can put some mia material to the leafs, much more cooler and customizable than the default, heheh

The lights, the one on top of the image is the sun light, needed a shadow to proyect on the wall and that´s why I put that piece of geometry at the top, the other two lights were used as ambient lights, the other spreaded over the floor are shadows, I needed some dark spaces over the lower part of the scene, and the very little ones are just details, some shine for some leafs, all those lights were area lights (I love area lights):

This are some tests on the light, lambert material for all the geometry, and a little color for the lights:

I used displacement maps just twice as you can see, one for the daisy and another for the earth:

Now some tests for the texture, all those are mia material x passes:

I remember this girls from my childhood, I loved to watch “cartoon cartoons” all the time..

And I still love this girls, and the stylized ambient, I think it has some german expressionism reference (just saying).. So, I did this fanart to the Craig McCracken creation!

I got a lot of fun on this one, you can see it in the process:
